Asraf village is located in one of the lush green mountain valleys of the Nuratau range. A crystal clear mountain brook passes through the property right in front of the house. The family has recently built separate house and an ablution block consisting of with two showers and two flush toilets. The house is built from local rocks and has four clean guest rooms furnished with tapchan mattresses. Yahshigul can accommodate up to sixteen people. Water is heated by solar energy. A spring provides the family and guests with pure, cold drinking water. In the shade of the big fruit trees in the garden, guests can chose either to relax on one of the three supas (sitting places built out of clay) or on a tapchan. One of these unique comfortable sitting, lying and eating facilities is placed across the rivulet. Reading a book, while listening to the gentle bubbling sound of the water, is a great way to rewind and recall all the impressions of your journey.

Bobojon’s family lives from subsistence farming. Hence, many types of fruit trees such as peach, apricot, apple, mulberry, pomegranate and walnuts and a lot of vegetables are grown in the huge garden. Guests will be spoiled by tasty dishes prepared from home grown products. Traditional music performances can easily be arranged for guests in the evening.

The homestay in Asraf village is a good starting point for short or long mountain hikes.

We stayed with Yahshigul and the family in 2014, and had a fantastic experience. The family members were calm, very friendly, and hospitable. Though they spoke no English, they were keen to provide us with a good experience. They invited us to help milk the cows and took us for a hike up the mountain (and loaned us their clothes when we got drenched in sudden rain on that hike!) The food (which all seemed to have come from their own garden and animals) was really good, and the accommodation (which was newly built then) was very comfortable. I can thoroughly recommend a stay here.
The infrastructure that delivered us to the homestay and picked us up again, worked efficiently, and communication with the agent was good.

Great location & 2 members of large family spoke good English. Property is not really a homestay, it is a guesthouse as there are 3 accommodation building & various shower toilet blocks which were perfectly clean & had hot water (naturally limited). We had 28+ people staying , so it was quite busy hence my guesthouse not homestay comment. The food was fantastic &, rooms are clean. Huge old walnut & mulberry trees surround you, along with a huge friendly dog. There were 4 rooms in our block each with 4 western single beds in each – very tight but perfectly fine. The small children walk with you if you wander the village or surrounding paths. Family has now sold its livestock & plans for a Holy site in grounds are planned, so ask if this is completed before booking as ambience may change.
