ITINERARY
DAY 1: BISHKEK – ISSYK KUL
Arrive at Bishkek Airport. You will be met by our guide and driver who will transfer you to Issyk Kul Lake (270km). On the way, visit Burana Tower (XI-XII) – the minaret of the ancient Balasagun town. You will also visit the nearby cemetery and the ruins of a fortress. Continue driving to Issyk Kul. Issyk Kul is the second largest alpine lake in the world. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2: ISSYK KUL – KORAKOL
In the morning, transfer to Karakol. On the way, visit an open-air museum of petroglyphs (V BC – VIII AD). Arriving in Karakol, you will explore the Russian Orthodox Church, Prejevalskiy museum, and the Dungan Mosque. You will have dinner in the house of the Dungan family. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3: KORAKOL- BOKONBAEVA
On this day, drive from Karakol to Bokonbaeva. After breakfast, transfer to Jety Oguz gorge (40 km). The gorge is famous not only for its coniferous forest, flower clearings, and fascinating hiking trails but also for red rocks which are called «Seven Bulls» and «Broken Heart». Picnic. In the afternoon, transfer to Bokonbaevo village. Upon arrival, you may get to know the daily life of locals by taking a short walk in the village. Dinner and overnight at a homestay.
DAY 4: BOKONBAEVA – BISHKEK
After breakfast, leave for Bishkek. Upon arrival in Bishkek, explore the sites of the city on a guided sightseeing tour. You will visit central Ala-Too Square, then continue your tour exploring Manas statue, the flagpole, Lenin statue, Oak Park, Opera, and Ballet Theatre, Fine Arts Museum, Victory Square, and Osh bazaar. In the evening, enjoy a traditional meal in a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 5: BISHKEK
In the morning, transfer to the Airport.
